Information for students
The DY process (at least for maths):
Based on data collected over 2 years, your DYAs have compiled a subjective ratings on the availability of internship places vs likelihood of acceptance. Larger circles indicate more popular choices. Students have more success with hosts listed towards the top right quadrant.
Just for fun, we’ve analysed the cumulative probabilities of being accepted to hosts. The median time to successful placement seems to be about 25 days. In other words, 50% of students will have a placement within 25 days of applications. The analysis also seems to reinforce what we already know: Higher cGPAs are associated with better placement successes, and that maths students are not preferred for oil & gas companies.
